G Kishan Reddy, Union minister and member of the lower house of the parliament was born in 1960 in Timmapur village of Rangareddy district, in Telangana State. He completed his schooling in his village and moved to the Central Institute of Tool Design (CIDT) to finish his diploma in Tool Design. Gangapuram Kishan Reddy joined his political career with Janta Party in 1977 when he was young. After the formation of the Bhartiya Janata Party in 1980, he joined the BJP as the young brigade.

After the split of Andhra Pradesh into two states he became active in Telangana State. He was elected as the state president in 2023.
