Sagarika Ghose, Journalist, Author, and Member of Raya Sabha, Upper House of Parliament of India was born in 1964 in New Delhi. She was brought up in New Delhi did her schooling at DPS and moved to St Stephen’s College for higher education. Sagarika Ghose completed his graduation in history and moved ahead to the UK for further educational journey. She completed again Bachelor’s degree in Modern History from Magdalen College and joined St. Antony’s College to complete her degree in Master of Philosophy.
She started her professional career as a journalist with the Times of India newspaper. In her professional career, she worked as an anchor and Journalist with various News Channels and News Paper. She worked as the Host of BBC World prime time show Question Time India. Her mother Bhaskar Ghose was an IAS officer and also worked with Doordarshan as Director General. She was married to journalist Rajdeep Sardesai son of Former Cricketer Dilip Sardesai and lives in New Delhi.

Her public debate show Question Time With Didi, the show Mamata Banerjee Interact with the public and students of West Bengal won the National TV award for Best Debate Show in the year 2013. She recorded an online interview with Arvind Kejriwal on Twitter. This interview was the first interview any politician gave online before the election. She was nominated and won the Rajya Sabha election as the candidate of the All India Trinamool Congress in 2024.
