Md. Rakibul Hussain, an Indian politician of the Indian National Congress Party from Assam State of India is currently serving as a member of the parliament from Dhubri Lok Sabha Constituency. Indian National Congress Party contested in the 2024 general election under the INDIA alliance. Rakibul Hussain was selected as the candidate for his extraordinary efforts to convey the people of the constituency against the BJP and Hemanta Biswa Sharma-led state government. Rakibul won the election and joined the 18th Lok Sabha of the Parliament.
Incumbent member of the statae legislative assembly Rakibul Hussain was born in the Nagaon town of the Assam state in the ordinary family of Nurul Hussain and Lutfun Nahar Hussain in 1964. He finished his schooling and moved to Aligarh to complete his higher education. Rakibul obtained a Master’s degree in politics from AMU (Aligarh Muslim University). His interest in politics started while he was studying at AMU.
