Shri Vijay Kumar Hansdak is one of the prominent Indian politicians from Jharkhand. He has been serving as the Member of the Parliament in Lok Sabha since 2014. Vijay Kumar won the 18th Lok Sabha from Rajmahal Lok Sabha Constituency and defeated the BJP candidate Tala Marandi over 178,264 votes. He is a member of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM).

He was born to the family of Thomas Hansda and Shanti Sarojini Murmu in Sahibganj, Jharkhand on 27 October 1982. Vijay Hansdak completed his Matric education at St. Xavier’s School, Sahibganj, Jharkhand. He is an agriculturist by profession. His father was a former Congress MP and former Congress State (Jharkhand) President from the same seat. Before joining politics, Shri Vijay Kumar Hansdak handles his father’s political affairs. Later, he interested in Jharkhand state politics and joined the JMM party.
