Basavaraj Bommai, Politician of Karnataka and son of former Chief minister of the Karnataka state S. R. Bommai is currently representing Haveri Constituency of the state. He was introduced to politics with his family legacy in the Karnataka state. His father was active in the State politics. Bommai also served as the chief minister of the Karnataka state from 2021 to 2023. He also represented various assembly constituencies of the state.

He was first time introduced as the candidate for Lok Sabha by the Bhartiya Janta Party after his successful tenure as the Chief Minister of the state in 2024. Basavaraj was born in Hubli city of the state in 1960. He was brought up by his mother and completed his schooling at Hubli. After schooling, Shri Basavaraj S Bommai finished his engineering degree and joined politics.
