Durai Vaiko, a businessman turned politician, Son of the Founder of the MDMK party, Vaiko, and sitting MP of the lower house of the parliament was born in Chennai in 1972. He serves as the Principal Secretary of the Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam party. His father Vaiyapuri Gopalsamy or Vaiko was the founder of the MDMK party.
