Sudama Prasad, an Indian Politician of the Communist Party of India (CPI) from the Bihar State of India is currently serving as a member of the Parliament of India (Lok Sabha). He is one of the only two candidates of CPI(M) who won the Lok Sabha Seat in the general election of 2024 from Bihar State. Sudama Prasad defeated Raja Ram Singh Kushwaha of the INDIA alliance by the margin of more than one lakh Votes from the Liberation Arrah constituency of Bihar state.

He was born in the Kanu Cast OBC family of Ganga Dayal Sha and Smt Kawleshwari Devi in 1961 in the Bhojpur District of Bihar. Sudama Prasad joined politics as a social activist with the Communist Party of India in the late 90s of the 20th century. In his political career, he was accused of the murder of a landlord in his district. However, Shri Sudama Prasad was given a clean chit by the Supreme Court of India stating that he was victimized by false witnesses and could contest the election.

Sudama Prasad was first introduced as the candidate of the State Assembly elections 2015 from the Tarari constituency. He started campaigning by visiting the voters of all the villages and towns of the constituency. His hard work resulted in the victory in his first electoral contest. He once again contested from the same constituency as in 2020 kept his winning streak and served his second term as the MLA in the Bihar state assembly. In 2024 he contested from the Arrah constituency of Lok Sabha and won the election.
